Selina is a woman with a secret and she has been hiding it for a very long time. With her nieces, she runs Luna’s, a nightclub in downtown Seattle, catering to Steampunk and Goth clientele. When someone leaves a body behind her club, she is drawn into a web of mystery and murder. Spring Garden 2011 005

It’s finally spring!

Take a step back in time and enjoy this Everyday Romance. Real life fairytales happen all the time. You just have to believe in the possibility…and look for magic in the most unexpected places. This is a fictional story, loosely based on my great-great grandparents, who met at a school for the deaf, and the romance they shared in the 1870s.

Stay Inside and Read a Book

Winter is here!  Stay warm by the fire, keep a hot cup of tea or coffee nearby and enjoy reading the books you haven’t had time to read until now.  Like this one…

The Spokane & Inland Empire Railroad started as a streetcar line, used largely for real estate development, and grew into a regional electric railway noted for its cutting edge technology and elegant sense of style. Jay P. Graves and the other men connected with the railroad, created land improvement companies designed to provide luxury resorts, as well as plan small towns. Within a few years, the rail lines would stretch from Spokane to Coeur d’Alene and Hayden lakes to the east, with another line heading south through the Palouse, splitting at Spring Valley to Colfax and Moscow.

Happy October

For October, all non-fiction books will be 99 cents.  And hopefully, a new book will be ready at the end of the month.  My friend and I are working together on a different type of romance.  Busy writing, so hopefully we’ll make the deadline.

We finished it!

Maggie McCrae knew her granddaughters were not ready for the legacy she must leave them. The house, the grounds and everything that went with it would now be theirs. She vowed she would do all she could to protect them and hopefully, give them the time they needed to fulfill their destiny. Gabriella and Moira must learn to trust themselves and each other, as they discover the true magic of Burrows Bay. First book in a serialized, contemporary romance series that also includes a little magic.

“You know what the issue is with this world? Everyone wants some magical solution to their problem and everyone refuses to believe in magic.”
–Lewis Carroll

Fairytales are simply stories that remind us to be our best selves. If we do this, we can be successful. Good will triumph over evil. True love is possible. And dragons can be tamed.

The need for fairytales is just as important today as it has ever been. We must remember that what we do matters. Honor and loyalty are not just words. And we will be held responsible for our actions.

Finally, true love is more than infatuation. True love is romantic, but it is also means considering what is important to someone else and when necessary, to put their needs before your own. To work together to accomplish the goals that matter to both of you. To be open to the idea that magical and miraculous things happen everyday. And to build a future that will make the world a better place, at least in your little corner of the kingdom.

So, take a step back in time and enjoy an Everyday Romance. Real life fairytales happen all the time. You just have to believe in the possibility…and look for magic in the most unexpected places.

My name is Lorri Moulton and I live on a farm in eastern Washington with my family and our five horses. I have a Master’s degree in History and grew up hearing so many wonderful stories about our own family tree. My grandparents spoke of a more simple time, when people loved each other and helped their neighbors. I hope these stories share some of that beauty of the past, with all of you.

“Moonlight, Roses & Murder” has a murder mystery, suspense, romance and even the paranormal. Selina is a woman with a secret, which she hopes to never reveal until bodies start to show up behind her nightclub that caters to Steampunk and Goth clientele. When an Interpol agent comes to investigate, Selina wonders who she can trust. I hope you enjoy the story and there will be two more books in this series.

“The Magic of Burrows Bay,” co-authored with Abigail McKee, is the first book in our Burrows Bay Adult Romance Series. More contemporary than my other books, Moira and Gabriella discover their grandmother has left them a mansion in the San Juan Islands, north of Seattle. The two cousins, who have not seen each other in the past fifteen years, must learn to work together to uncover their true heritage. And what they find will change their lives forever.

“Dare To Cross The Water” is the first book in my Railway Romance series. These books show how trains and the building of the railway tracks, brought people together. Often people, who would never have met any other way….and the romances that crossed economic, class and even cultural lines. If you ever have the chance, ride a train. Especially with someone you love.

“Down in the Well” and “To Share A Dream With You” are the first two books in my Everyday Romance Series. True love happens everyday! It’s romantic and wonderful, but also takes work. The respect, trust and friendship that are the basis of true love has to be there, for any relationship to really last.

The “Robin and Jamie “You Decide” Fairytale Books” are written in the fairytale tradition, but with the two main characters not defined by gender. Each could be a man or a woman, depending on your interpretation. Two strong characters, working together to accomplish a common goal. In the process, they grow to understand, respect and even rely on each other. This leads to a friendship neither expects, but both come to value. And eventually that friendship turns to love.

And if you like history, try the Non-Fiction Series on local and international history. These books are usually 20 pages or less and include endnotes. So, if you want to do more research, you can.

I hope you enjoy reading these stories. And if you do, please share them with your friends:)
