Here’s the blurb:

Escaping to a small town was a way to find herself. But never in her wildest dreams did she expect them.

Isabella runs to the only small town containing good memories from her childhood. Her inheritance in one hand and a plan to open her own business in the other. All she needs for her new start. Until a bad fall risks it all.

Academic Dean Ben and Doctor Caleb share everything. But the moment Ben heard about the town’s newest resident, he wanted her. Convinced Caleb will feel the same, he plans a sneak attack. But the age gap between them could throw a wrench into everything.

One thing is for certain… heat makes water boil. And tea loving Isabella, Ben, and Caleb have plenty of fire. But problems, like rocks dropping into water, could scald them all.

This is small town, MFM, age gap romance introduces readers to Voyageur Bay. A town where love is everything and the residents learn to accept everyone.

And now to the interview:

1. How did your individual cover inspire your story?
My cover was about tea and angels so my mind naturally went to the girl owning a tea shop and having some type of accident that her love interest would save her from. And since I like to have more than one male love in my story, it was easy to jump to angels. Why settle for one guardian angel if you can have two.

2. What would the ‘heat level’ be in your story?  Should it come with a warning label?
My story is maybe a three for heat despite the word “boiling” in the title. There are only two sex scenes in the story and while detailed with named parts, they spend a lot of time on the emotions and the caring connection between the three characters. Consent and safe sex practices are an important part of the story.

3. Can you tell us a little about the characters in your story?  Are they meeting for the first time or is this related to a series?
This book is going to be the introduction to a new small town universe, Voyageur Bay. My current series will all end up tying into this small town. Isabella is the tea shop owner and is new to town. She’s trying to make a new beginning for herself away from her family. Ben is the Academic Dean at the local distance campus of the provincial community college. His best friend is Caleb who is one of the town’s family doctors. The men are twelve years older than Isabella which adds another taboo element.

4. What was your favorite part about writing this story?
Besides writing the love story between Isabella, Ben, and Caleb, I loved incorporating tea words into the story. And best of all, I love the very last line.

5. Is this your first time participating in an anthology?  What are some of the best things about being in an anthology?
This is not my first time participating in an anthology. I’ve been in five other ones. I love writing in them because I get to meet more authors and it’s fun to write to various themes. It’s amazing to see the creativity and to read the other stories.

6. What genres do you write in?  If more than one, do you have a favorite?
I write in contemporary and paranormal romance. All of my current books contain poly relationships where at least three people are involved in the relationship. Some of them contain male-male pairings while the others are heterosexual. Poly relationships are fun to write due to their complexity. With each person you add into the relationship, the number of relationships you need to nurture and grow increases almost exponentially. For a three person relationship, there are four relationships. For five, there are over 15 relationship combinations.

But as for choosing between contemporary and paranormal, I have to tip the scales toward contemporary even though I tend to have more fun letting go when I write paranormal.
